| Synopsis: |
YHWH God created the heavens and the Earth in six days. On the seventh day He ceased from all His work and blessed this day, this day was also made holy. After the telling of the six days of creation the Holy Scriptures proceed to tell the story of the Garden of Eden, the rivers that issued from the Garden and the trees that were planted within it. In particular the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil along with the Tree of Life. Adam was formed out of the dust of the ground and placed in the Garden to keep it. Eve was formed from the rib of Adam to be a help meet for it. The two walk as one modeling the family structure of husband and wife. Adam was commanded not to eat the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil but during the process of time a serpent, being more subtle than the other beasts, beguiled Eve into eating of that tree. |
